Default West System epoxy resin quantities...

Hi All,

I thought I'd post this just in case anybody else comes up against a similar question.

I am currently keeping my eye out for a good deal on the epoxy for my TB build. The plans say that I require around 5 litres of resin. However, West System advertise their quantities in Kg's. I emailed West to ask if they had a conversion and they kindly replied to tell me that their 6kg pack equates to around 5.3 litres.

From this we arrive at the equation that 1.2kg = 1 litre. (approx. as I have rounded it up)

I don't know if other JW plans suggest quantities in litres, but if they do then I hope this may help others who choose the west sytem. Mike had been kind enough in the past to advise me on the amount he had used during his build but for other back-yardies and bigger builds this may prove useful.

HTH
